Unitil begins Fitchburg gas-pipeline replacement work

Unitil started work on a six-month project to replace approximately six miles of natural-gas pipeline in the city.

The project will affect streets around the city starting this week with Pearl Street, Lunenburg Street, the intersection of South Street and Ellis Street as well as the mobile home park at 276 Lunenburg St.
